Prayer for Miami Political Leaders

Father,
Please cover the men and woman across this city who are in office or currently running for political office. We ask that you be present in this coming election. Usher into office men and women who would be hearers and doers of your word. Bring into leadership men and women who are humble servants in your sight. Bring into leadership men and women who are wise not in their own eyes but wise in your Spirit. We pray that you would lift up those men and women who are being obedient to your call into leadership. Guard them and encourage them. Fill this city with leaders who seek to serve; who seek to honor you; who seek to stand for righteousness, mercy, and grace; and who seek to be blameless in your sight. We pray that the present and future leaders in this city would have a vision for a city shining with your Glory. We ask this in the authority of your Son, Jesus Christ on whose shoulders the governments rests. Amen.
