A Prayer to Bless Education

Father, Your Word instructs us to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength." So learning is loving. And further, learning is a pathway to loving You. Help us to be life-long studiers of You. Give us the will to be disciplined in how we make time to sit with you, read your Word and renew our mind through Your inspiration. Specifically today, Father, we hold up to you the systems of education in our beloved Miami. We ask you to bless the diligence and patience of our teachers as they spend many hours pouring into the minds of our younger generations and challenging the thoughts of those returning to institutional learning as adults. Put your hand on all of them. Make the instructors' desires to teach as well as the students' desires to learn pathways to knowing You. You are capable of anything, and today we ask that you would surprise us with more than knowledge. Give us You. Help us all to use learning as a way to finding You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
